The space is in Memphis’ Central Station and fronts  South Main Street. It was actually three separate spaces when the Illinois Central Railroad occupied the station. The leftmost space was the Illinois Central Credit Union;  the middle area was the Illinois Central Special Agents’ Office. The right space was a driveway which provided access to the freight tunnel beneath the station. The drive was typically occupied by cars belonging to the Superintendent and Special Agents..
